We are reinvigorating industrial hemp into agriculture for production of many bio-based materials and food. Here’s the background and the plan.
Industrial hemp has long been known for its potential as an environmentally friendly rotational crop with extremely high cellulosic biomass, capable of yielding industrial fibre that compares to petroleum-derived plastic, activated carbon, and grain that has one of the best protein profiles on the planet.
But, due to archaic regulatory complications, which completely stalled investment, the reinvigoration of the hemp plant has been shelved for generations. As those regulations now ease, it’s time to EVOLVE; to add hemp into the rotation of the fields and create a massive green industrial revolution.
EVOLVE 2033 creates focus, momentum and the opportunity for organisational planning to establish realistic expectations of the incremental steps necessary to launch this reinvigorated agricultural crop and the industrial development that will begin to bear significant fruit in 2033.
